Testing Apex

Apex ProgrammingTesting ApexWrite tests that prove behaviour, not just coverage: test data factories, @TestSetup, Test.startTest/stopTest, the Assert class, runAs and permission-based tests, callout and search mocks, async and event tests, StubProvider-based unit tests, and running tests from the CLI.Intermediate · about 80 minutesWhat you will learn

Explain the 75% coverage requirement and why meaningful assertions matter more than coverage

Structure test classes with @isTest, @TestSetup and a reusable test data factory

Use Test.startTest/stopTest, System.runAs and permission sets to test limits, async work and security

Assert outcomes and exceptions with the Assert class, including negative and bulk tests

Mock HTTP callouts, SOSL results, and dependencies with HttpCalloutMock, StaticResourceCalloutMock, Test.setFixedSearchResults and StubProvider

Run tests and coverage reports with the sf CLI and organize tests for a CI pipeline
